ALEXIA P CLOUTIER, CPA, President
Alexia is a CPA and Tax Manager at WMB² CPAs in Larkspur. Alexia specializes in high-net worth individuals and successful family businesses – ideally doing the tax planning for the entire family unit – individuals, family businesses, and trusts.
Alexia grew up in San Rafael, California and is currently working on her MST at Golden Gate University.
Alexia is a member of MCEPC, CalCPA and co-chair of the CalCPA Marin Discussion Group.
SAFIA KRYGER-NELSON, Vice president
Safia Kryger-Nelson is a Senior Philanthropic Planner, Professional Advisor Partnerships, at MCF. In her role, she serves individuals and families in the Bay Area, in close partnership with their advisors, by offering a comprehensive suite of boutique philanthropic services to help them engage in effective and meaningful philanthropy. Prior to joining MCF, Safia was Regional Director, Business Development, at ImpactAssets, a nonprofit financial services firm that increases the flow of capital into impact investments. Before becoming engaged in philanthropy, she worked in Finance, in both San Francisco and London and also as a legal translator for the European Court of Justice. Safia is a native of Denmark, has a Bachelor of Arts, Law Degree from the University of Copenhagen, and a Masters in European and International Law from the University of Paris. She lives in Marin with her husband and two sons.
Cynthia de Nevers Trutner, Secretary
Cynthia de Nevers Trutner is a partner in the Larkspur office of Bancroft & McAlister, representing and advising individual clients on all aspects of trusts and estate planning. In addition, she represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in trust and probate administrations.
Prior to joining Bancroft & McAlister, Cynthia spent eleven years practicing trusts and estate law at Trutner & Trutner, located in Oakland, California. She also spent four years at the San Francisco office of Pettit & Martin, specializing in real estate transactional work.
Cynthia received her BA in Political Economics of Industrial Societies from the University of California at Berkeley in 1982. After spending three years working in Washington D.C. in congressional offices, she returned to the San Francisco Bay Area and earned her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in 1989. She was a member of the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review.
Cynthia’s community work includes educating local interest groups about estate planning issues, acting as legal counsel to the Corte Madera Larkspur Schools Foundation, and serving as a Director for the Corte Madera Community Foundation.
Cynthia is a member of the Marin Estate Planning Council, the Marin County Bar Association, and the California State Bar.
caron schmierer, treasurer
Caron Schmierer is a National Certified Guardian, California Licensed Professional Fiduciary and Arizona Licensed Professional Fiduciary. She previously worked as a Probate, Trust and Civil Litigation Paralegal from 1970 to 1998, when she joined Fiduciary Resources, Inc., founded by her mother in 1992. She is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Fiduciary Resources, Inc.
Caron has been working as a fiduciary since her first appointment in 1999 and became licensed by the Arizona State Supreme Court in 2004 and California in 2008, License No. 29. She holds an AS degree in Behavioral Sciences from the College of Marin, as well as Certificate in Trust Administration and Conservatorships from California State University Fullerton.
CAMERON CARLSON, MEMBERSHIP
Cameron M. Carlson is a principal in CARLSON HAMMOND, a consulting and financial services practice specializing in the development of business succession and exit strategies for owners of privately held businesses. For over 40 years, Cameron has advised business owners from a variety of
industries, integrating experience in estate planning, retirement planning, and executive retention programs. In addition, Cameron’s experience includes over 30 years of advising companies on the design and implementation of qualified retirement plans – including eight years as a principal in the Firm of Aaron & Carlson, a pension consulting and administration firm. Cameron is a principal with the M Financial Group – an international organization providing insurance products and services to affluent individuals and businesses. Cameron received his B.A. in economics from the University of San Francisco and his J.D. from Golden Gate University Law School. He also holds professional designations as a Certified Financial Planner, a Trust and Estates Practitioner and a Chartered Life Underwriter. He is a member of the California Bar. He currently serves as a member of the Advisory Committee of Golden Gate University School of Law.

Rob Harrison is a lawyer and a partner in the San Rafael firm Keegin Harrison, LLP. His practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration and real estate law. He is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law, State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Robert has been on the MCEPC board since 2015.

Jeff is a Financial Advisor with Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Jeff's practice is focused on providing investment planning and management services for high net worth individuals, families and small businesses. Plans are tailored according to each client's resources, tax circumstances, estate
planning goals and risk tolerance, with the goal of maximizing after-tax returns using the appropriate asset allocation. Before joining Bernstein, Jeff was a CPA with Ernst & Young in their biotech practice. Jeff is also a Certified Financial Planner.
